About the event
Grab your hard hat and get ready to build some chemistry fun! Join the Erie Local Section of the American Chemical Society as we celebrate National Chemistry Week 2026 with “Chemistry Under Construction”! This year’s theme takes us behind the scenes to explore how chemists use molecules, reactions, and a little creativity to build, transform, and improve the world around us. From the materials in the buildings we construct to the everyday products we use, chemistry is hard at work, and there’s always something new under construction!
We’re inviting the community to explore chemistry through exciting, interactive experiments and demonstrations, and we need enthusiastic volunteers like YOU to help stir up curiosity and fun! Whether you love setting up, engaging with the public, or helping pack up after a great event, there’s a role for everyone.
